This piece was composed as a story-walk through a mythical forest. The main character is calm yet melancholy upon entering the forest. In the B section, something magical happens. The forest sylphs become visible to the main character and he or she is enchanted by the sylph’s celebratory dance. In the return of section A, the music is more complex and represents an uplifted spirit in the main character.
