Simultaneously, the left hand accompaniment utilizes a twisting and turning of the Major and minor sixth. The rhythmic intrigue of this piece is driven by the changing meter that fluctuates between 5\/8. 6\/8 and 7\/8. The mysterious B section faces some of our childhood fears like \u201cmonsters\u201d in the closet, with the left hand ominous melody accompanied by the right hand ostinato of an open fifth.
